Special Father-Son Occasion

Anthony William Grant of Steubenville recently received a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine. Anthony "Tony" is the son of Dr. William and Carolyn Grant of Steubenville. He is a 2006 graduate of Catholic Central High School and, in 2009, earned a bachelor of science degree in biology from the University of Mount Union. At commencement, Tony was ceremoniously hooded with the doctoral regalia by his father, Dr. William S. Grant, also a podiatrist, who has maintained an active practice in Wintersville for more than 30 years. An honor student named to the dean's list multiple times, Tony was presented with the Dr. Morton M. Polokoff Award for outstanding proficiency in selection and application of chairside orthotics. Tony is continuing his training through the Department of Veterans Affairs at the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center in Cleveland. There, he will complete a three year residency in podiatric medicine and surgery of the foot and ankle.
